PAST PERFORMANCES
June 2010: Francis's Croquis du Nil for chamber orchestra, performed by the North/South Consonance Chamber Orchestra at Christ and St. Stephen's Church in New York City.
February 2010: Francis's Astronomies of the Mind for orchestra, performed by the USC Symphony, at Bovard auditorium, on the USC campus in Los Angeles.
June 2008: Trio for clarinet, violin, and piano, performed at the American Composer's Alliance's Festival of American Music.
November 2007: Croquis du Nil for chamber orchestra, performed by BMOP.

Francis was one of the composers commissioned to write a piece to celebrate Elliott Schwartz's retirement.

This interview came out a couple of days before the premiere of the Concerto.
Friedrich Dürrenmatt's play The Visit was staged at Bowdoin in the Fall of 2001. Francis was commissioned to compose music for its last scene.
